Kai Goddard was born into a racing family. The son of two time World Superstox Champion and former factory BMW Touring Car ace Geoff Goddard, Kai is a widely recognized driver with exceptional car control and technical knowledge as well as an infectious personality. Having lived in South Africa, England, Canada and Michigan, he now calls Cave Creek, Arizona home.
Currently a Founder and Pro Driver at Track Rekord, Kai has over 24 years of auto racing, testing, automotive development, automotive marketing, management, automotive driving events, coaching, precision driving and high performance driving experience.
Kai’s vast background in racing has taken him from SCCA Formula Vee, Improved Touring Car and American Sedan to Factory Stocks, Short Track Racing, PBOC Racing and NASA Pro Racing, where in 2005, 2010, 2011 and 2013 he raced in the grueling USAF 25 Hours of Thunderhill. In May of 2017, 2018 and 2019 Kai competed in the Jaguar Simola Hillclimb in Knysna, South Africa in a Ford Performance V8 Masters Mustang. True to form and always chasing new adventures in racing Kai has also competed in the Best in the Desert 2017 Tonopah 250 and 2018 Mint 400 behind the wheel of a TrophyLite race truck.
With instructing experience including KGM, Skip Barber Driving School, SCCA National, Porsche Club of America, Ferrari Club of America, BMW Car Club of America, Chevrolet Rev It Up, Radford Racing School and the Mercedes AMG Driving Academy, Kai exhibits speed, a wealth of knowledge and versatility.
Kai has worked with such industry heavyweights as Maserati, McLaren, Spyker, Ferrari, Lexus LFA and IS F, Dodge SRT, Cadillac V Series, Audi, Corvette, Mercedes AMG, Ford, Mazda, Porsche and Toyota (among many other brands) in marketing and driving events, press reveals, stunt shows, live performance driving demonstrations, hot laps and film and is comfortable working with the public, media, clients, competitors and executives alike.
